About Sidney Elyea
Sidney Elyea graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003. Previously, Sidney Elyea received a diploma in Architectural Construction Technology from St. Cloud Technical & Community College, in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. He began his career in construction in the early 1990s. Sidney Elyea served as Project Manager for Life Time Fitness/FCA Construction. Sidney Elyea oversaw the remodeling of 40 Life Time Fitness Clubs. Among other responsibilities, Sidney Elyea obtained permits from local and regional planning offices, hired contractors, reviewed the scope of the project with field personnel, and created detailed construction schedules. In addition, he solicited bid proposals and analyzed costs. Before his position with Life Time Fitness, Sidney Elyea worked with Klingehutz Construction. During his time with the company, Sidney Elyea performed various project-management duties, including managing the construction of a 70-unit condominium. Managing the project from inception, Sidney Elyea ensured that the project remained on time and under budget. He achieved this goal despite uncontrollable setbacks. In addition, this project required Sidney Elyea to consult with clients on preliminary design, formulate costs, present bid proposals, and create option sheets for the sales staff to use with potential buyers. While Senior Project Manager with Dale Gruber Construction, Sidney Elyea played a significant role in more than 30 major remodeling projects with both residential and commercial clients. As Senior Project Manager, Sidney Elyea evaluated all areas connected to the remodeling projects. He developed plans with computer-aided design to coincide with client interests while maintaining compliance with code. A fan of technology, biking, walking, and photography, Sidney Elyea also enjoys boating, camping, and fishing. Sidney Elyea and his wife participated in a pistol target league in 2010. He took first place.
